Motorway coach crashes - spinal injury compensation claims
Compensation for victims of motorway coach crashes
The recent motorway crashes on the M42 in September and near Alton Towers in Staffordshire in August are yet more examples of serious road traffic accidents involving passenger carrying coaches. 130 people were hurt in the crashes and there was one fatality.
Personal injury lawyer Julia Appleton of Boyes Turner said “We are acting for many individuals who are making claims for compensation following crashes on motorways.
We have advised on many high profile coach accidents. In each case we have to consider if the driver of the coach is to blame for the accident and we are seeing more and more cases where tighter checks and procedures in relation to alcohol consumption, driving when tired and driving abroad would probably help reduce the number and severity of accidents.
In the case of the Alton Towers crash there were a large number of Polish nationals aboard the coach. It is important that these people are able to access specialist legal advice quickly and easily.
We are able to offer our expertise in dealing with road traffic accidents particularly those involving serious head and spinal injuries and fatalities in both Polish and English with a guarantee that there will be no cost to the claimant and no deductions from compensation.”
